In Bashkortostan, the production of batteries of the Belarusian holding is localized on the territory of the SEZ "Alga"

A working meeting was held at the Management Center of the Republic of Bashkortostan on the localization of the production of separators for lead-acid batteries, lithium batteries based on lithium iron phosphate and a battery waste recycling plant of the Belarusian holding 1AK-Group in Bashkortostan. According to Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan Andrey Nazarov, the new enterprise will be one of the first projects to be part of the Bashkir-Belarusian Industrial and Investment Technopolis.

Bashkir-Belarusian Industrial and Investment Technopolis is a key project of our cooperation with Belarus. It will combine advanced investment joint projects, and for its implementation we plan to expand the SEZ "Alga" by 200 hectares and build 5 industrial parks. The total area of buildings for production will exceed 100 thousand square meters. m. The technopolis will include enterprises of JSC "Amkodor", a joint project of JSC "Minsk Automobile Plant" and JSC "Ufa Tram and Trolleybus Plant", the battery plant of 1AK-Group and other enterprises, — told by Andrey Nazarov.

As Rustam Muratov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy of the Republic of Bashkortostan, noted in his welcoming speech, a roadmap has been developed for the implementation of this project, the deadlines of which must be strictly observed.

All issues need to be worked out in detail. I would like to note that today in Russia there are no similar enterprises for the production of separators for lead-acid batteries and lithium batteries, therefore it is extremely important to enter this market. Of course, there are key parameters of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia that determine the timing of implementation and lending, but the most important thing is the market. The project with 1AK-Group holding is the first stage, and in the future we want to start discussing an even larger project. I consider it advisable to present the project at a meeting of the Investment Committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan in the format of "Investment Hour" and get priority status," said Rustam Muratov.

Margarita Bolycheva, Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities of the Republic of Bashkortostan, said that the meeting with representatives of the Belarusian holding 1AK-Group shows a high degree of cooperation between the two republics, which is developing, including thanks to the work of the Representative Office of the Republic of Bashkortostan at the Trade Mission of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Belarus under the leadership of Konstantin Klimin.

The Republic of Belarus is one of the five countries where Representative Offices of Bashkortostan operate. Thanks to the work of Representatives of the region in Turkey, China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Belarus, according to the results of 2023, we are seeing an increase in the share of foreign trade turnover (WTO) with these countries by 6.3% compared to 2022. At the same time, Belarus retains the title of a reliable partner for the implementation of promising joint projects. On the sidelines of the International Business Week in November 2023, we held the first meeting with representatives of the 1AK-Group holding, after which a number of negotiations took place, which resulted in the signing of an agreement on the construction of plants for the production of separators for batteries and lithium batteries in Bashkortostan, which took place within the framework of the February visit of the official and business delegation of the region to the Republic of Belarus, — shared by Margarita Bolycheva.

As Nail Gabbasov, Director General of the Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan, noted, the department's specialists have already selected a production site for the investor. The enterprise will be located at one of the new sites in the Ufa district, which this year are planned to be included in the special economic zone "Alga".

After studying the requirements of the project, we presented the investor with a pool of sites, after which he chose the most suitable one for the localization of the enterprise. Having worked out a number of organizational issues, the investor will be able to start design work and other stages of the project implementation. In turn, the Development Corporation, being the management company of the SEZ "Alga", will provide it with all the necessary engineering infrastructure. In addition, our specialists will accompany the project until the full launch of production, assisting in the preparation of necessary documents in order to obtain state support measures, as well as interaction with authorities and resource supply organizations, Nail Gabbasov said.

The agreement with 1AK-Group holding was signed by the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan in Minsk during the official visit of the delegation of the region led by Radiy Khabirov. The document provides for the intention to build a plant for the production of separators for lead-acid batteries, lithium batteries based on lithium iron phosphate and a plant for recycling waste from battery production. The total cost of the projects is estimated at over 43 billion rubles.
