Trade attaches of Turkey got acquainted with the investment potential of Bashkortostan

On a working visit, the Republic of Bashkortostan was visited by the trade attaches of the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey, Merv Bayata and Murat Sezbir. The purpose of the visit was to study the investment potential of the region, the basic needs of entrepreneurs and the possibility of expanding mutual cooperation with the Turkish business community.

- The mutual trade turnover of Bashkortostan and Turkey in the first seven months of this year increased by 81.5% compared to the same period in 2022. The active activity of the representative of Bashkortostan at the Russian Trade Mission in Turkey, Marat Tansykkuzhin, allows us to develop fruitful cooperation in many areas. Just the other day we were visited by representatives of the Federation of Programmers of Turkey. And thanks to this meeting, we can consider new areas for mutually beneficial joint work," said Margarita Bolycheva, Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

The program of the visit included visits to departments directly interacting with business: the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Export Support Center and the Bashkortostan Development Corporation. During the negotiations at the site of the regional Development Corporation, the parties discussed the points of growth and the main directions of socio-economic development. Particular attention was paid to the tools for attracting investors and the experience of the department's work with Turkish partners.

Nail Gabbasov, Director General of the Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan, commented on the meeting.

- Thanks to joint work with the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress activities, we are strengthening cooperation with representatives of the Turkish business community. To date, the Corporation is accompanied by several investment projects initiated by our Turkish partners. I am sure that cooperation with trade attaches will also have a positive impact on popularizing the investment attractiveness of Bashkortostan and the influx of new interesting projects to the region," Nail Gabbasov added.
