An internship of NAAIR members took place in Bashkortostan
As part of the International Business Week taking place in Ufa these days, an internship was held for members of the National Association of Investment and Development Agencies. The event was organized by the Bashkortostan Development Corporation together with NAAIR. The key speakers included Nail Gabbasov, Director General of the Regional Development Corporation, and Damir Galiullin, Deputy Head of the Ufa City Administration. The moderator of the section was the Executive Director, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the NAAIR Rafael Husyainshin.
-This is the fourth field internship of NAAIR members in the territory of regional development institutes. We had an internship in Chelyabinsk, Ulyanovsk, Leningrad regions. This internship broke the attendance record for the number of regions and participants. The previous one was installed in the Leningrad region, where we conducted an internship at the NAAIR within the framework of the Baltic Investment Forum - there were 20 regions and 36 people there. Here we have 38 people from 22 regions participating. Everyone came to learn from the experience and learn the very secret of colleagues from the Republic of Bashkortostan, which allows them, at least, to be in the leaders of investment attractiveness and investment activity, - said Rafael Khusyainshin.
The meeting participants discussed a number of issues related to attracting investments. In particular, they touched upon various tools that regional development agencies are implementing in their work. Thus, Nail Gabbasov, Director General of the Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan, presented innovations that the agency uses when working with potential investors. He paid special attention to the development of business cases and virtual tours.
-First of all, I consider a very well-coordinated team to be the secret of efficiency. Together with our colleagues, we are trying different approaches to working with investors and most of the implemented tools have a positive effect. One of them is business cases. Now a lot of investors are interested in them, negotiations with which are at various stages. I would also like to note that the attraction of the investment flow was influenced by virtual tours on free sites of the republic. This is a unique tool that has received recognition at the federal level, becoming one of the best regional practices for the development of entrepreneurship," explained Nail Gabbasov, Director General of the Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
One of the important parts of the business program was the speech of the Deputy Head of the Ufa City Administration Damir Galiullin. The city's business sheriff shared his experience of working with the business community, measures of state support for entrepreneurs, the advantages of the municipality's interaction with development institutions and the importance of using social networks in his work.
-For us, the relationship with the Development Corporation is like fresh air. These are our main assistants in working with investors. If the initiator comes to us and we see a prospect in the project, I send letters to the Corporation and duplicate them to the CEO so that he keeps the process under control. Then the investor meets with the specialists of the department, where the issue of the presentation of the project is decided at the meeting "Investment Hour" under the chairmanship of the Head of the region. If there are any questions, managers can contact me directly to resolve certain issues. So, I am trying to speed up the movement of the project within the framework of the law," explained Damir Galiullin.
