On December 1, an online conference "Economic cooperation Austria-Bashkortostan, Tyumen and Chelyabinsk regions" was held in the format of the VCS. The event was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Austria to Russia Werner Almhofer, Secretary General of the Austrian Chamber of Economics Karlheinz Kopf, Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities of the Republic of Belarus Margarita Bolycheva, Director General of the Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan Nail Gabbasov, Deputy Governor of the Tyumen Region Andrey Panteleev, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Chelyabinsk Dmitry Glukharev.
Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities of the Republic of Belarus Margarita Bolycheva made a presentation on the economic and investment potential of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
- Austria is a long-standing and reliable partner for the Republic of Bashkortostan. We are interested in deepening and expanding close cooperation. Bashkir and Austrian businesses actively cooperate in various fields. There are 7 legal entities with capital participation from the Republic of Austria represented in our republic. Most of them operate in the real sector of the economy in the fields of agriculture, mining, production of ceramics and cement, production of machinery and equipment, construction, trade, consulting. Representatives of the Austrian business are actively expanding their production capacities, developing and strengthening work with the region," Margarita Bolycheva noted.
In the course of communication with foreign colleagues, Nail Gabbasov, General Director of the Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan, spoke about the investment potential of Bashkortostan, as well as about preferential zones: the SEZ "Alga" and the industrial park "Ufa".
- The Development Corporation is the management company of the special economic zone "Alga" and the industrial park "Ufa". Residence in preferential zones provides investors with a number of advantages: tax benefits, the use of accelerated depreciation and a reduction coefficient for the lease of land plots, the operation of a free customs zone. In addition, residents have access to ready-made infrastructure for comfortable business in our region," said Nail Gabbasov, General Director of the Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
