Entrepreneurs from the Republic of Turkey took the initiative to organize woodworking production of birch veneer in Bashkortostan during a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan, as well as a number of other departments of the region. The visit of the Turkish delegation to the capital of Bashkortostan was organized by the Representative of the Republic of Bashkortostan at the Russian Trade Mission in Turkey, Marat Tansykkuzhin, as part of the implementation of the national project "International Cooperation and Export".

In January-October 2023, the mutual trade turnover of Bashkortostan with the Republic of Turkey increased by 107.9% compared to the same period in 2022. We also record an increase in exports by 115.6% and imports by 56% compared to the previous year, while supplies from Bashkortostan account for about 90% of the total turnover. Turkey ranks second among Bashkortostan's counterparties with a share of 13% of the total turnover of our republic. Such projects, focused on further exports of manufactured products, will allow us to maintain the positive dynamics of mutual trade turnover," Margarita Bolycheva, Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities of the Republic of Bashkortostan, shared.

During the meeting, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities of the Republic of Bashkortostan spoke about measures to support export-oriented enterprises, including subsidies for reimbursement of part of the costs of transporting goods abroad, assistance in participating in foreign business missions and exhibitions, promotion of goods on international electronic trading platforms and others.

Representatives of the regional Development Corporation told potential investors about the investment potential of the republic and, in particular, its existing preferential zones, drawing the attention of Turkish colleagues to the advantages of locating production in the special economic zone of Alga. Recall that the agency is the management company of the preferential zone.
