PPP

The public-private partnership is a long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation of the Government and the private investor aimed at solving the governmental issues, increasing of the accessibility and quality levels of the public services, attracting investment for construction, re-construction, modernization and operation of the public infrastructure facilities on the basis of sharing risks between the government and private business.

In fact, the PPP mechanism is delegation of the construction, reconstruction, modernization, maintenance and operation services to the private sector.

On the 17th of August 2016 in accordance with the Decree by the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan “on the Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan” several amendments were made, where it was stated that the Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan is responsible for the PPP and concession agreements with the Republic of Bashkortostan projects assistance.

The Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan provides services in allocation of the objects, approval procedure with the republican public authorities and municipal entities and in further development of the PPP project in accordance with the legislation.

  • environmental infrastructure processing, recycling, disposal and placing of the solid communal waste
  • Education, Culture, Sport and Tourism
  • Public social services

The Republic of Bashkortostan is developing in the sphere of the PPP – in 2012 the Republic took only 51st place among the regions of the Russian Federation, and in the 2016 it took the 7th place
