The special economic zone "Alga" has become the best SEZ in Russia for import substitution

The Special Economic Zone "Alga" was recognized as the best in the nomination "Import Substitution" of the VII National Rating of investment attractiveness of special economic zones of Russia. The Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, shared this news on his social networks.

This is a new special rating nomination, in which experts considered it important to highlight Bashkortostan. What is the essence of this high assessment? We strive to attract more and more investors, whose activities are based on import substitution. In turn, our Development Corporation, the management company of the SEZ "Alga", creates a comfortable infrastructure for entrepreneurs, accompanies projects, helps to prepare documents, solves emerging issues," Radiy Khabirov emphasized.

Recall that in June 2023, the territory of the Ufa Industrial Park was included in the SEZ "Alga", which allowed to expand its functionality. And now the total area of the preferential zone "Alga" is 763 hectares. In 2023 alone, 8 companies with a total investment of 19.8 billion rubles became residents of the SEZ "Alga". In total, 20 residents are registered in the SEZ, and the volume of investments in their projects is over 60 billion rubles.

It is important to note that according to the results of the rating, the special economic zone "Alga" also retained its positions in other areas and took 8th place among all SEZs in terms of investment attractiveness. This is the result of our well-coordinated systematic work.

The result is decent. Our republic is increasingly being chosen by business partners, including from other countries, trade turnover is growing, the economy is developing," the Head of the region added.
