Bashkortostan Development Corporation has taken on the support of a Kazakhstani project with an investment of €100 million

The Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan will accompany the project of an investor from Kazakhstan, who intends to place a deep wood processing plant in the region. The project was considered today in Ufa at a meeting of the Working Group on the Development of Cooperation between Bashkortostan and Kazakhstan, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov and the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov.

The interested investor was MEGA SMART LLP, which is one of the top 5 furniture companies in Kazakhstan. A plot of 25 hectares is required for the implementation of the project. On January 18, Sergey Hegai, the company's director, was presented with a platform in the city of Sibai by the Development Corporation.

- It is very important that Bashkortostan and Kazakhstan continue cooperation after overcoming such a difficult period for our foreign partners. The agreements reached after the visit of the delegation of our republic to Kazakhstan last autumn will be implemented," said Nail Gabbasov, Director General of the Development Corporation of the Republic of Bashkortostan.- The estimated volume of investments under the project of MEGA SMART LLP will be about 100-120 million euro. 300 jobs will be created for the residents of our republic, it is planned to train a personnel reserve.

The productivity of the new enterprise will be about 231 thousand cubic meters of products per year. The volume of the annual raw material base will amount to 633 thousand cubic meters of wood with the possibility of increasing the timber reserved for the project (mainly coniferous species) to 1 million cubic meters.
